Marcel Carbonel Santons

Les ateliers Marcel Carbonel creates small santons figurines since 1935. All characters of these little people is hand made from clay  to his masterhand gouache delicate finition. This provencal tradition illustrate both the nativity of Jesus and the inhabitants of a typical french village. Each pieces is signed Marcel Carbonel or MC on small characters.

***The Sizes of reference for each number correspond to the height an adult character upright. (ex: Bartoumieu n°2 = 7 cm).The other subjects (animal, children, accessories) are proportional.

The number of the Houses and the Accessories correspond to the number of santons. Certain accessories are adapted in reduction for the backgrounds (ex: mills, villages).
