In the Middle-Ages, tapestries were almost exclusively intended for the lords, yet they sometimes pictured scenes from everyday life. The artist has set the tapestry against a flowerdotted background and exalts the work on the vine. While the workers are busy around the vines, the elegant people enjoy tasting the juice of the first grapes.
